So I was reading about acupuncture on wikipedia here are some of the quotes " Scientific research has not found any physical or biological correlate of qi, meridians and acupuncture points" So does this mean if you can't see it, it does'nt exist? " Proponents of acupuncture believe that it promotes general health, relieves pain, treats infertility, treats and prevents disease. Scientific research has not found it effective for anything but the relief of some types of pain and nausea." Ok so here is my point. Why is it that scientific research has so many results on the medical industry and very little to no results on alternative medicine? Who runs these researches? Who pays them to run it? No I'm not trying to defend accupunture nor do I know if it works. I have tried alternative or holistic health and have seen tremendous results. I believe doctors have there places if I break a bone or need surgery cause im going to die then sign me up, but why in the hell would I go to a doctor to just have them give me a prescription for a drug thats probably going to make me loopy? My wife use to take prescription drugs cause she always got migrains they helped with the migrains but the side effects were she was always tired and had no sex drive real fun we went to an herbalogist recommended by a friend she now takes about 3 pills a day has been doing it for about 2 years no migrains zero side effects and pays less then half of what she was paying with the prescription pills. Agree or disagree with me it does'nt matter to each his own. All I'm wanting to know is are they really doing equal research on alternative medicine vs. traditional medicine or is it that the medical drug industry is a billion dollar business which could turn into a topic about money?

Why are people complaining so much about illegalization of alternative medicine?
People keep whining because they think that alternative medicine is some magic that is going to solve everything. Yet trash our whole traditional medical system based on drugs and surgery. People create conspiracies about the drug companies. People trash the FDA. Why? Because you cannot just heal yourself as you please? Theres a reason they are professional doctors, pharmacists, and businessmen, and your not. Because they know whats best, you dont. SO stop whining about not having the choice over your healthcare, and suck up your drugs, and professional diagnosis.

Tonsil and alternative medicine help?
Many many years ago I had gone to a chiropractor for a sore back. While working on my back he noticed I had a nasty cough. He asked if he could listen to my lungs and take a look at my throat. After examining me, he said my lungs sounded fine but my tonsils were extremely enlarged and inflamed. He went to his little cupboard and pulled out a small brown bottle with a dropper cap thingy. He suggested I purchase this stuff and add the drops to a glass of water and gargle at least twice a day till I felt better and the drops were finished doing what they needed to do. I asked him how I would know when they were done doing their thing and he went on to explain that when I gargle with this stuff I would know that they were working because peaces of what he described as soggy bran flakes would come off my tonsils. He said when that no longer happens I can quit using the drops and just save them for next time. They did work wonders but I have been out for many years and have no idea what they were called or what the ingredients were. This chiropractor had since died and the ones I have talked to in my area have no idea what the drops could have been. I am hoping someone on here knows what they are and where I can get more.
