I have social anxiety disorder and I know there are some good herbs and alternative medicines that you can take. Can you give me a few good ones? Also, what should I know before taking these medicines?

Try therapeutic grade essential oils. You get all the benefits without any unwanted side effects. Frankincense oil balances any extreme emotion. Valor oil blend gives you the courage to face any mental or emotional challenges throughout your day. Peace and Calming oil blend calms the anxiety. Joy will uplift your spirits and keep you positive no matter who you deal with during the day. Contact me if you need more information.

If you live in an area where medical marijuana is legal, go for it. if you're thinking more along the lines of more common "health food " herbs, St. John's Wort has anti-depressant and relaxant properties. You can steep it in tea and it's actually pretty tasty. Adverse effects that are reported fit along the placebo effect: Dizziness, tiredness, sedation. I do get tired if I drink a lot of it though. Makes me sleep like a baby. I feel pretty mellow and careless. The effects aren't pronounced to the point to where you feel medicated but its a noticeable contentedness. I'd ask your doctor before you start taking it because its been shown to have a few interactions with other drugs. But if you don't take any medicines you'll be fine. Good luck. :)
