If you live in an area where medical marijuana is legal, go for it. if you're thinking more along the lines of more common "health food " herbs, St. John's Wort has anti-depressant and relaxant properties. You can steep it in tea and it's actually pretty tasty. Adverse effects that are reported fit along the placebo effect: Dizziness, tiredness, sedation. I do get tired if I drink a lot of it though. Makes me sleep like a baby. I feel pretty mellow and careless. The effects aren't pronounced to the point to where you feel medicated but its a noticeable contentedness. I'd ask your doctor before you start taking it because its been shown to have a few interactions with other drugs. But if you don't take any medicines you'll be fine. Good luck. :) |
