Do chiropractors know how to do massage therapy?
I would really like to get a massage and currently go to a chiropractor. I have been going to him for a long time now and would feel more comfortable getting a massage from him but I'm not sure if that is something taught in chiropractic college. So I'm wondering if most chiropractors have experience with massage at all?

Do all chiropractors have to crack people's necks and backs?
I was looking up being a chiropractor because they don't prescribe drugs and they don't do surgery. However when I was looking at what they do and I saw one cracking a woman's neck, then a saw another one cracking a woman's back. It scared me because if they don't know what they are doing they can seriously injure or even kill someone. This profession did not seem for me. I like the idea of being in a profession where I don't have to prescribe drugs or do surgery but I have patients and don't have to deal with blood or needles....

Why do osteopaths and chiropractors sometimes call themselves doctor when they have no medical degree?

Can chiropractors/holistic medicine treat dementia?
my cousin has recently been diagnosed with dementia... a few years ago his personality changed drastically. he became very violent and got in a lot of trouble with the law he was a crop duster for 30 yrs or more and the doctors have said he has side effects from the crop dusting. then it was schizophrenia, then multiple personalities, then graves disease, and now they are saying dementia from personal experience, i prefer the holistic way and im wondering if chiropractors can treat this?

Bottom of back is always in pain even after chiropractor. What can i do? (Please help!!)?
I'm 18 years old I know young for back problems and have had bad back problems for a couple years now. Normally i could go to the chiropractor and get it fixed up right away. However, in my lower bottom right back, i have alot of sharp pain in it almost all the time. After work sometimes i'l go to get out of my car and can barely get up from it. I weight lift almost everyday but that has no effect on my lower back pain. I even quit lifting for 4 months and saw chiropractors but back still always had its moments where it hurt. Im just getting tired of waisting money at the chiropractors each visit when the next day it still hurts and feels no different. Some told me it's something else in my back and isn't bones or something like that because thats the only thing chiropractors can cure. Once it get's real bad the pain will shoot down my right leg nonstop. I went to doctors before and all that does is get me vicodin which i don't want to depend on for back trouble. If you were me what would you do? I did those home exercises alot of times everyday and they never work. The next day i always get the same pain and its just getting really old and could use some advice. Thanks for reading. Almost forgot to add this, the pain gets at its worse when i split wood on a log splitter then stock a wood pile. It must be from the twisting and turning i guess. But weight lifting doesn't hurt it its just when i do things like that.

Osteopath/physio/chiropractor/myotherapist salary?

Is going to a personal trainer like going to a chiropractor?
I am thinking about starting the new year off with a personal trainer, but I hear they are just like chiropractors in that once you get to a certain level, you have to keep going back because you get more advanced in your routine. Does anyone have any experience using personal trainers? Were you okay after leaving the trainer or do you feel like you had to go back or you would go back to the way you were initially? I am guessing that you would have to keep going back and that they have years of experience and this is their job and you are just doing it for fun so it is a different scenario altogether. Will a short person (5'0") be able to become a successful chiropractor?
this is a serious question. i am a college student considering chiropractics as a career after a couple of chiropractors presented in one of my classes. after having many conversations with friends and acquaintances, a friend recently asked if it was feasible for me to become a chiropractor since i am short. i'm only 5'0" and my height has never been a problem before. now i am worried that it may affect my future goals. any serious advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Can my old chiropractor send x-rays to my new one?
I found a good deal on Groupon to get x rays and a massage from a Chiropractor because of the car accident that happened two months ago that makes my shoulder a bit sore. It's a nice place but it's about 35 minutes away...way too far.I feel a little ashamed to let them know I won't be seeing them again and that I only went because of the deal. I want to go to some place closer to home. Are chiropractors able to send x rays to another location? Will a new chiropractor accept them or will they ask for new x rays be taken cuz they just want your money? lol

I need a Chiropractor!?
I'm on vacation in Richmond Virginia and I'm not all that familiar with the area or the local chiropractors around here. Needless to say, I took a nasty slip and jarred my back. So if anyone knows of any good Chiropractors in the Richmond area, please let me know.
